HOW TELTONIKA ECAN02 WORKS

The Teltonika ECAN02 is a contactless CAN-bus adapter that works with a compatible Teltonika GPS tracker to provide detailed vehicle data without physically cutting or splicing wires.

• Contactless Data Reading: The ECAN02 uses inductive clamps that are simply clipped onto the vehicle's CAN-bus wires. It reads the data signals by detecting the electromagnetic field through the wire's insulation. This "contactless" method ensures the vehicle's electrical system and warranty remain completely intact.
• Signal Transmission: Once the ECAN02 reads the data from the CAN-bus (such as fuel level, RPM, odometer, and DTCs), it sends this information through a wired connection to the primary Teltonika GPS tracker (for example FMC150).
• Data Processing and Upload: The GPS tracker receives the data from the ECAN02, combines it with its own GPS location information, and then transmits the complete data packet to the tracking server via the cellular network.
